Steve is the newest recruit to the company and joins Silurian on a consultancy basis. Steve is married with three children and lives in Swansea.
Steve has recently retired from South Wales Police after 32 years of service having achieved the rank of Chief Inspector. Among his many qualifications, Steve is educated to Degree level and also holds Health and Safety qualifications from the Institute of Safety and Health and the National Examining board for Safety and Health. While Head of Licensing in Swansea, he introduced the Door Supervisors Training Scheme, which was adopted in South Wales by a number of local authorities. Steve also represented the police on National Licensing issues.
Towards the end of his career, Steve worked as a critical incident manager and Major Incident advisor. He worked closely with members of all other emergency services, and was instrumental in bringing the national projects relating to Counter Terrorism to the South Wales area and leading exercises in this subject to advise the community and businesses.
Steve is passionate about having a safe area to work and play, and recognises that this can be implemented and developed through Project Griffin and Project Argus. This is a field in which he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, by the close links he forged with local and national governments and business throughout his career.
